how to calculation weight for welded wire mesh

Formula for weight calculation of welded wire mesh
welded wire mesh weight calculation formula is derived from the screen based calculation formula, is the welded wire mesh accounting cost, quality testing often used calculation formula.
First of all, let’s understand the screen basic calculation formula:
Wire diameter (mm)* Wire diameter (mm)* Mesh * Length (m)* width (m)/2= Weight (kg)
Mesh number refers to the number of holes per inch (25.4mm) to express, the mesh of welding mesh is: 1/4 inch, 3/8 inch, 1/2 inch, 5/8 inch, 3/4 inch, 1 inch, 2 inches, 4 inches and so on.
We take the 1/2 inch welding net as an example, there are two mesh holes in the range of one inch, so when calculating the weight of the 1/2 inch welding net, the mesh is 2.
1/2 inch aperture weight = Wire diameter (mm) x wire diameter (mm) x 2 x length (m) x width (m)/2
The simplified formula is wire diameter (mm)* wire diameter (mm)* length (m)* width (m)=1/2 inch hole welding net weight
Let’s use the size in the example image to calculate: we know that the size in the image is 1/2 inch; 1.2mm wire diameter, net coil width 1.02 meters; The length is 18 meters.
Plug it into the formula: 1.2*1.2*1.02*18=26.43 kg.
That is, the theoretical weight of the welding net of the above specifications is 26.43 kilograms.
The weight calculation formula for other mesh specifications is also derived from this:
3/4 aperture weight = wire diameter X wire diameter X length X width X0.665
1 inch aperture weight = wire diameter X wire diameter X length X width ÷2
1/2 aperture weight = wire diameter X wire diameter X length X width
1×1/2 aperture weight = wire diameter X wire diameter X length X width ÷4X3
1X2 aperture weight = wire diameter X wire diameter X length X width ÷8X3
3/8 Aperture weight = wire diameter X wire diameter X length X width X2.66÷2
5/8 Aperture weight = Wire diameter X wire diameter X length X width X0.8
3/2 Aperture weight = Wire diameter X wire diameter X length X width X0.75
2X2 aperture weight = wire diameter X wire diameter X length X width ÷4
3X3 aperture weight = wire diameter X wire diameter X length X width ÷6
The above unit of calculation, wire diameter is millimeter, length and width is meter, the weight unit is kilogram.
